TIPS AND TRICKS

Luckily, Zoom isn’t as drastic from real life. Wear what you would usually wear for a job interview. Be conscious of lighting and how it may make your clothe s appear on camera. The good news is you only really need to focus on the is the top part of your body. However, be aware that if you do decide to get up during an interview or think you make be doing some activities that involve showing your whole body. Iron on your clothing making sure they look extra crisp on camera. White attracts light so it will make you look brighter and your surroundings on camera. Black absorbs light so it may make things appear darker on camera.

It is better to be overdressed than underdressed, always and zoom meetings are no exceptions. People will especially keep that in mind knowing that you took the time to get dressed when you have nowhere else to go. Don’t go for the bright colors like neon colors because it will look much brighter on camera. Avoid colors like red and orange.

Avoid black because it may make you look like a blob. You want to make yourself the main attraction so opt for muted colors. Don’t wear pattern or lettering, if there’s a pattern make sure it doesn’t have a lot of contrast. Chose modern and minimal styles to give off a sleek and put-together look.

Make sure you wear the pieces of clothing that fits you well. If you wear baggy clothing it’s gonna look exaggerated online. Make sure you are extra groomed for an interview. Your outfit will look extra dapper having a haircut.

BEST COLORS ON CAMERA FOR YOUR SKIN TONE

Wear a jewel-tone near your face. Wearing ruby red, emerald green. They are highly saturated colors they are just right. The jewel tones are not too bright, but not too muted agonist most backgrounds and look great with different skin tones. They won’t wash you out and  Avoid pastel tones doesn’t look great on camera. Darker colors make you age on camera so be aware of that. Choose simple fabrics avoid shiny and distracting fabrics. Avoid small prints because that can look weird on camera. Use patterns as an accent to your basic fit. Keep in mind your background and lighting and what colors would work with it.

Remember to be yourself and show your best qualities. Although we are in unprecedented times, that should not stop you from advancing your career. So, get on that Zoom call and kill that interview!
